A Christmas Carole Evening was arranged by Margaret Boyce, President, as a special thank you to all the volunteers who worked so hard for the Whitby Historical Society in the past year. Everyone who was able to come had a wonderful time.
Enjoy the pictures, they tell the story best.

Jane Snyder arrived with a lovely Poinsettia plant for Margaret.
Volunteers arrived at the Museum around 7 PM and very much enjoyed the Performances by the
York Troubadours.
The sing-a-long was great, many agreed that we should try and have a larger gathering open to the community, we just need to find a larger venue. It was an old fashioned carole sing, reminding many of happy times gone by.
Several of the volunteers came after seeing the official tree lighting ceremony at the new Whitby Library. It was nice to come and join in some more festivities at the museum, and nice and warm inside too. A table was set with all kinds of Christmas goodies, which were thoroughly enjoyed.
Families of volunteers were also invited and there were several children who came and had a good time.
The York Troubadours, who are from Richmond Hill, expressed thanks for being asked and said they would be glad to put on a larger function next year if we could arrange it. Trina thanked the Troubadours on behalf of The Society and they were given a good round of applause.
