Things we did in 2007
Month of December: Special Christmas Displays throughout the museum, be sure and see the wonderful window display at the museum. Special Thanks to our window designer, Vaughnie Gill.
January 2008 - Open for special showings by appointment only.
'Victorian Tea' at the Museum - always a popular event - reservations required please, due to space. Enjoy an afternoon tea with Historical Tidbits and mini-Tour ...held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Pricing varies depending on the 'Theme' for that month. By special arrangement, an " Afternoon, Victorian Tea Date" !:30 PM to 4:00 -(sit down event at pretty tables, limited to 20 Per Tea) or arrange for an evening, Cocktail Party, ( no alcohol,) for your group ( limited to 30). Great idea for small corporate or group gatherings such as the Red Hat Society or business appreciation events.
Whitby History Contest
First Prize, $1000.00

Winning entries are posted in the Museum Show window, and available on request.
Fall /Winter 2007 Events:
October 6th: Whitby History Contest closes, 4:00PM. Contest Winner's will be chosen at the Museum, 4:30PM If you have printed your form off the website, you can bring it with you and pay for the contest on October 6th.
Dec. 1st Whitby Santa Claus Parade, come have hot chocolate outside the museum.
December 14, 2007 - Annual Event
'A Musical Evening at Trafalgar Castle'
As space is limited, please reserve your tickets by phone or email.
- A delightful musical evening in the historic Chapel at Trafalgar Castle School on Reynolds Street in Whitby 7:00PM - Tickets available ahead of the event at the museum for $15.00 each. Performance ends, 9:00PM
Santa Clause Parade - Come into the museum after Santa has made his annual visit to Whitby and have some hot chocolate and goodies, mini prices for tiny tots.

March 6th, Annual General Meeting at the museum 7:30 PM
The AGM was well attended. Reports were given about museum activities. The finacial audit was presented by Jane Lakatos, bookkeeper and Smith Chappell Marsh Vilander, auditors. The new Constitution was adopted, having been tirelessly worked on for the past year by the Constitution Committee chaired by James Bradfield
(Chairperson Ontario Region Citizens' Advisory Committee).
New Executive and Board Members were elected.
Plans for a bright new year were unveiled.
April Easter Activities
May 11 Death by Chocolate at 7:00 PM.
Ticket sales were brisk again this year as chocolate lovers enjoyed their fill of wonderful chocolate cakes, pies, squares, truffles and chocolate fountain and fruit dip.
Chocolates from Williams Chocolates in Whitby donated by Snyder Construction.
Brooklin Spring Fair - See our Heritage display at the Fair
July 6 - Fresh Fruit Fantasy Tickets $12.50 on sale at the museum. Don't miss this scrumptious event.
Aug 13 to 2O - Children's Summer Camp Heritage Workshops
Pre-registration is required as space is limited. See more information as the programs are prepared.
Sept 15 - Heritage Day - Come into the museum and Purchase your Whitby History Contest Forms -Displays at the museum, Old Tyme Toys, Heritage Craft displays.
The Museum had 300 visitors for Heritage Day this year, a great success!
